As Chairman, Geoff provides guidance on FRS's strategic direction and corporate governance and advice with client growth and satisfaction.

Geoff brings to the FRS Group over 22 years experience as a Partner at Ernst & Young (E&Y) and over 40 years in the accounting profession. Geoff served on the E&Y Board of Partners and Management Committee, was Managing Partner of Canberra office and Executive Partner, Sydney. He held other management positions in E&Y, leading Enterpreneur of the Year (NSW/ACT), Government and business development programmes in addition to serving a broad range of clients.

Geoff has chaired or served as a board member on a number of government and community organisations. He has also advised and chaired Audit and Risk Committees.

Vik Bhandari is a director of FRS and his principal focus is the provision of technical accounting and IFRS advice for both clients and the FRS team. He is also responsible for the financial statements quality review process and business development.

Vik brings to FRS a wealth of experience and technical expertise with over 20 years experience in the audit and accountancy field, having worked on three separate continents. Before joining FRS, Vik was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young (E&Y) in the audit division and led the financial statements team. Vik was a member of the E&Y Oceania IFRS desk and technical consulting group, where he provided IFRS advice, best practice guidance and training to E&Y clients and industry groups.

Vik has been involved with the IFRS transition projects for several ASX listed entities and has been actively involved in providing NSW Government entities and other clients specific advice on a number of complex accounting matters. Vik is a circuit lecturer and has presented extensively on IFRS for the accounting professional bodies and universities.

Michael Berrington is the founder of Financial Reporting Specialists (FRS) and has personally developed and enhanced the FRS system since 2004. His primary responsibilities within FRS are system development, business development and implementations.

Michael has over 15 years experience, up until 2004 working for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). During his time at PwC he was involved in undertaking and managing a variety of projects from general accounting to code of conduct to systems reviews. The majority of his time in the last three years at PwC was developing ValueFinancials involving national training, development, marketing and implementation.

Michael prides himself on being a financial reporting specialist, utilising his uncanny accounting natural ability effectively. He is very involved and takes a hands-on role in the company, understanding that clients appreciate the fact that they have access to him even with the growth of the company. Stepping out of the “big four” environment has enabled this personal connection to flourish.
